Avondhu Blackwater Partnership continue to provide a range of supports for people experiencing unemployment or job insecurity. Two training courses coming up in May and June are the Career Skills Workshops and the Train the Trainer programme. Places are limited so prompt expression of interest is advised.
The opportunities are specifically aimed at those experiencing unemployed, underemployed, job insecure, low income families, those facing redundancy, those who are unemployed and on the live regisister as well as those who are unemployed and not on the live register. They will help people to up-skill and enhance their prospects of employment.
Career Skills Workshops: (CV Preparation, Job Seeking Skills, Interview Skills etc) will be delivered over three mornings from 9.30am-12.30am in Mallow on Tuesdays 5th, 12th and 19th June. The Career Skills workshop series will also be delivered in Fermoy and Blarney in September, please let us know if you wish to be put on the interested list and details will be sent to you.
Train the Trainer: (FETAC 6)
The Train the Trainer FETAC level 6 programme will be delivered over 5 full days: 9.15-5.00pm in Mallow on Wednesdays, 23rd May, 30th May, 6th June, 13th June, 20th June. Couses in Fermoy in September and October will follow.
This has been very successful for people who are finding new ways to transfer their skills into the area of training. Participants must have a good grounding in their own subject area because the course focuses on the development of actual trainer skills. This Train the Trainer programme will give the participant the knowledge, practical skills and competencies necessary to Design, Deliver and Assess training courses.
All supports are FREE of charge for those who are eligible, who live in the Avondhu Blackwater region. and do not affect social welfare entitlement.
