Tidier Towns – The Way Forward is an exciting conference event brought to you by Avondhu Blackwater Partnership, Fermoy, and will be taking place in the Corrin Event Centre on Wednesday February 12, 2014, from 10am to 4pm.

The aim of the conference is to motivate community groups around the country to improve their areas. It is hoped that the conference will inspire and invigorate the public, encouraging their involvement in the planning and aesthetics of their local community.

This is of particular importance given the changing landscape of local government in Ireland today – driving forces at local level have never been more essential. This is a time for communities to pull together and take pride in their areas.

Speaking at the conference will be Mr Diarmuid Gavin, Ms Alison Harvey, Mr Henk van der Kamp and Simon Wall. These inspirational guests, in addition to speaking individually, will close out the event with a panel talk.

Peter Kelly – more famously known as Ireland’s premier wedding planner, Franc – will MC at the event. A wide variety of stallholders will be in attendance at the conference.

Tidier Towns – The Way Forward is the culmination of ‘Village Image’, a three-year, transnational, Rural Development Programme project undertaken by Avondhu Blackwater Partnership, Fermoy, and Noardwest Fryslan, their European partner company in Friesland, the Netherlands.
