Are you a man living in Fermoy or surrounding areas? Do you have time on your hands? Would you like to get involved in a new community initiative aimed at sharing stories, skills and knowledge and exploring opportunities to help improve your current situation?
If you have ideas worth discussing with other men in the same situation in your area or if you can answer ‘yes’ to some of these questions then a new initiative proposed by Avondhu Blackwater partnership might interest you.
Men of all ages are invited to a meeting at the Youth Centre, Fermoy on Thursday March 29th at 7.30pm to consider setting up this new initiative for men who might be interested in taking part in activities and hobbies or pastimes. John Evoy is responsible for introducing the ‘Shed’ concept into Ireland and he will address the meeting. Many ‘Sheds’ are already in existence with a varietyof activities going on from restoring furniture, bicycles or fixing lawnmowers and equipment or maybe men learning new skills from each other.
If you would like to get involved with the Fermoy Men’s Shed then you might find this a very useful meeting. ‘Men don’t talk face to face, they talk shoulder to shoulder’. Further enquiries from Mary at 025-33411 or mary@avondhublackwater.com
