As part of National Heritage Week and to coincide with the recently launched Blackwater Valley Heritage Trail, Avondhu Blackwater Partnerships Heritage Specialist Christy Roche will be giving a series of talks in the locality this coming week.
On Saturday 20th August he will be on the scheduled Heritage Trail bus trip from Mallow to Fermoy. Later that day at 8.00pm in conjunction with Fermoy Parish Council he will be speaking in Barnane Walk about St. Bernard’s Well.
On Wednesday 24th August at 7.00pm he will be speaking about the Battle of Manning Ford in Corn Hill Glanworth to the Fermoy Field Club.
On Saturday 27th August at 3.00pm he will be speaking in the Muintir na Tíre Hall in Buttevant to the Buttevant Heritage Society about North Cork Heritage.
