Avondhu Blackwater Partnership in association with Mallow Chamber hosted “Who can help ME? – Mallow Education, Enterprise and Employment Exhibition on Thursday 18th November at the Hibernian Hotel Mallow.
With 23 exhibitors promoting their career-enhancing programmes and services, it was very beneficial day for those who were hoping to further their education, start their own business and explore the opportunities available to them. The event enabled visitors to meet and engage meaningfully with State Bodies, Funding and Training Organisations, and Further and Higher Education Institutions.
Valerie Murphy, CEO of Avondhu Blackwater commented “With over 350 people in attendance, today was a huge success. This event could be the catalyst for a new beginning for those who are venturing into employment for the first time. It could also help unemployed/ job changers to consider different opportunities and to learn about the education or training routes they need to take to realise their goals.”
She also commented “Avondhu Blackwater is committed to developing and raising skills levels in North Cork through the various programmes that we deliver. Avondhu Blackwater is establishing a dedicated Business Support, which will provide technical assistance to Micro Businesses, including Start-Up businesses and prospective Entrepreneurs.”
