Blackwater Valley Heritage Tour – Lisgoold Seniors

Lisgoold Seniors who met with Kitty Scully (who appears on RTEs’ Corrigan Cooks Naturally), Farm Manager In Nano Nagle

Participants from Lisgoold Seniors took part on a recent Blackwater Valley Heritage Tour organised by Avondhu Blackwater Partnership, to Ballybeg Abbey, Buttevant, Killavullen and Mallow.

The group visited the Nano Nagle Centre, just outside Killavullen, met with Kitty Scully, Fame Manager  and of  RTEs’ Corrigan Cooks Naturally fame. The group thoroughly enjoyed their day out. Many thanks to John O’Connell who provided the historic facts of Buttevant and Ballybeg Abbey and Dan Doolan who provided the historic facts for the Mallow area.
